Sri Srinatha Theertharu
Sri Srinatha Theertha took Ashrama from Sri Jagannata Theertha and is Twenty Fourth saint from Madhwacharya. Below is his brief introduction.
Period – 1770-1780
Ashrama guru – Sri Jagannata Theertha (Bhashya Deepikacharya)
Ashrama Shishya – Sri Vidyanatha Theertha
Aradhana – Pushya Shudha Chathurthi
Vrundavana Place – Tirumakoodalu.
He was very famous as ‘Shatavadhani’. He made Digvijaya to famous Varanasi and defeated all the opponents. In memory of his victory over opponents, the king of Kashi (Varanasi) honoured him and gave one bell which was tied to his pallaki. Because of this the matha got the name of ‘Vidya matha’ and all his successors of the Peeta got the name ‘Vidya’ ascribed to them.
After handing over mahasamsthana to Sri Vidyanatha Theertha, he entered Vrundavana at Tirumakoodalu.
