Sri Vidya Prasanna Theertharu

Sri Vidya Prasanna Theertha took Ashrama from Sri Vidya Varidhi Theertha and is Thirty Seventh saint from Madhwacharya. Below is his brief introduction.

Period  – 1940-1969

Poorvashrama Name  –  Narasimhacharya

Ashrama guru             –  Sri Vidya Varidhi Theertha

Ashrama Shishya         –  Sri Vidya Payonidhi Theertha

Aradhana                     – Margashira Pournami

Vrundavana Place      – Sosale

He is Poorvashrama son of Sri Vidya Rathnakara Theertha. He was well educated in shastra as well as loukika. He was lawyer by profession. He wrote many songs, poems in Kannada. His works in Kannada are in Bhaminishattadi, and his works are;

Sumadhwavijaya sarasangraha

Vaikunta varnane

Badarikashrama varnane

He was president of ‘Akhila bharatha Madhwa maha mandala’. He was contemporary of Sri Suyameendra Theertha of Rayara Matha and Satyapramoda Theertha of Uttaradhi Matha.

After handing over mahasamsthana to Sri Vidya Payonidhi Theertha, he entered Vrundavana at Sosale.
