Sri Satyavratha Theertha got his education from Vidyadheesha Theertha. He is contemporary of Sri Raghavendra Theertha. He was a profound scholar and a saint of high order. He wrote commentary on Sri Jayatheertha’s ‘Nyaya Sudha’. He was honoured by Nawab of Bijapur for his mahima. He initially gave Ashrama to Satyaprajna Theertha, gave anusamsthana and sent him for tatva prachara. After doing tour, Satyaprajna Theertha came back and handed over the idols and died. Later he gave Ashrama to Kaulagi Raghupatacharya as instructed by his guru and named him Satyanidhi Theertha. He instructed Satyanidhi Theertha to undertake tour by giving anusamsthana. As his end was near, he came to Sangli and ordered his sishyas to hand over the Peeta to Satyanidhi Theertha after he returns and entered Vrundavana at Sangli.
